BURSA

A stoa is a protected outdoor area in ancient Greek architecture, often used as a gathering and discussion space. In modern design, a "stoa" refers to a scheme that separates layers of a building by material, structure, and user profiles, creating a cohesive form that relates to the surrounding urban environment.

The proposed project for Bursa creates a massing scheme that separates layers for material, circulation, and user profiles, combining a 1000-seat sports hall and 500-seat semi-Olympic pool within a single shell. The building relates to the urban context by creating spaces for outdoor activities, connecting to the park's upper level for spectator circulation and transportation.
