The new building is an independent structure that extends from Krebsgasse to Brüderstrasse, creating a clear urban street space and defining the edge of Offenbachplatz. By raising the building and creating large openings towards the square, a strong interaction is created between the theater and the square. Offenbachplatz is transformed into large foyer areas, galleries, and terraces. The facade facing the square is like a stage curtain that opens up, making the interior of the building a city stage. The building is very compact and divided into three parts: the public area, the stage area, and the new production center.
