SO HOUSE

SO House in Istanbul, located in Osmanbey, tells the story of the transformation of a space that had been used as an architectural office for many years into a living area.

Unlike architectural project production, interior designs generally involve the rearrangement of a defined space. SO House in Istanbul, Osmanbey, emerged through the conversion of the second floor of a 4-story adjacent, load-bearing structure that had served as an architectural office for many years.

One of the most crucial aspects of transitioning from an office to a living space was the repositioning and sizing of the kitchen area. Through partial demolitions, the existing kitchen and WC volume were merged to create a T-shaped bathroom area. In the L-shaped living room area, the dining section was also redesigned as an open kitchen.
